Many times we only have the chance to visit a place once, and of that day depends all the images that we take home. I think almost all of us will agree that the more you can visit a location the better the photos will be and that's what happens to me in Sherwood Forest, a place where I have the privilege to work with the sherwoodforesttrust.
If all I took from there were the photos from my first day, well, that can't be compared to what I am doing now, because I know the place better, I see new things and I go beyond the basic things I did on the first day. This is the footpath that I usually start with, lit with beautiful golden sunrise light and with the ancient oaks in the shadows.

Next day "5am" in the early morning We went for the pictures so we could capture the sunrise at the same time and i must Admit, it was one of the best morning shoot i did in a while!

For example the disused Parkside colliery in Newton le Willows and the old Burtonwood airbase just outside Warrington. The latter is now a huge logistics and distribution centre and also houses. It was once the largest airbase in the world outside of the USA. However the local councils here seem to want to build houses and industrial units on every available space rather than plant trees. The figures are correct as the forest cover in the Forest of Dean is nowhere near km2. What planet does gabor live on? Enough for anyone And unlike many uk forests you could find fotests with no human houses there just nature. You musnt. Have a car or else you would have seen that. Ashdown Forest is located in the High Weald area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, but is more famous for the acre wood which were the birthplace of the Winnie the Pooh stories and proves popular with fans hunting out areas from the books.
